Dementia Speciality Home Care Services for Seniors Near Lexington, MA

Since our founding in 1969, Minute Women Home Care has been deeply rooted in the Lexington-community. In fact, we’re now in our family’s second generation of being locally-owned and operated, so unlike corporate options, we live and work here with you.

Being so involved with the Lexington-community has allowed us to expand and provide focuses on dementia speciality care services which can include, hospital discharge assistance, helping families with fall prevention, and live-in, 24-hour or hourly in-home senior caregiving services. We specialize in dementia care services because of the overwhelming amount of seniors who are living with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia.  This allows families to have peace-of mind, knowing their loved-one is being taken care of by trained professionals.

In recent years, we’ve also developed game-changing low-cost fall detection systems for seniors that help our clients  achieve independence and safety from the comfort of home. While not every client will be a suitable option for aging-in-place with these products, for those that are good matches, this can be a very effective and affordable option for peace of mind for the whole family!

    Why Dementia Speciality Care?

Minute Women transitioned to providing dementia speciality care because of the amount of families we have interacted with who have said they need better trained caregivers for their loved ones.

Many home care companies can provide basic dementia care, until it becomes too complicated.  When loved-ones become complex and their symptoms start to manifest into difficult situations, many general caregivers are overwhelmed and are no longer confident in their abilities. This is why Minute Women transitioned to dementia speciality care services, as all our caregivers are trained with the Alzheimer’s Association’s Person-centered Care.

With this foundational training (as well as on-going training) we are able to assist families throughout their loved-one’s transition.  Providing families confidence that their parents are safe, well-cared for, and will remain at home, aging in place.

    Experienced Caregivers
    Near You

Over the last 50+ years, Minute Women Home Care has become a leading option for senior caregiving services in and around Boston. Not only are we members of the  Home Care Association of America and the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts, but our owner, Ryan McEniff, is also on the Board of Directors at the National Aging In Place Council (NAIPC) and the President of the Massachusetts chapter. Ryan also produces and hosts the popular industry-podcast, The Caregiver’s Toolbox

Unlike many of the leaders at corporate options in the area, Ryan entered senior care when his mother became terminally ill with cancer and he had to become her caregiver. Shortly after her passing, he took over the reins of an existing in-home senior caregiving agency and developed it into today’s version of Minute Women Home Care.

We’re proud to be locals, but we’re even more proud of our experienced caregivers in Lexington and the stellar work they give each and every client. These ladies and gentlemen have gone above and beyond to make their patients their priority while delivering unparalleled professional care. You’re welcome to learn more by reading their stories and seeing their familiar faces!
